Meet the Founder
John Gialousakis, OD, EdM, FAAO (Dipl AAO), is the founder of Elite Health Grad Advising and currently serves as a Director of Student Achievement and Chair of Admissions at an optometry college. With over a decade of experience in health professions education, Dr. Gialousakis has worked closely with students and admissions committees to support every stage of the graduate journey.
He holds a doctorate in optometry, a master’s in education with a focus on educational leadership, and is a Diplomate of the Cornea, Contact Lens, and Refractive Technologies chapter of the American Academy of Optometry. Having reviewed thousands of applications and mentored students across various health disciplines, he brings deep insight into what makes applicants successful—not just during the admissions process, but throughout their time in graduate school.
As an educator, mentor, and parent, Dr. Gialousakis combines professional expertise with personal connection to guide students with both strategy and empathy.
